/Collab with Brad Mead

I found Brad’s work through Instagram, and instantly loved it. Brad is a prolific designer focusing on powerful and often minimal typography and ‘feng shui’ composition. I reached out, and he was interested in allowing me to rework some of his designs in motion.

The workflow for the animation mainly involved working directly with the paths in After Effects, using Penpal 2, and then cutting up comps until they felt good.

It's great to be able to really focus on type in motion without a client. It means the type can take centre stage and not be an afterthought. Words are power!
