I'm Matthew, a Sydney-based independent motion designer and creative collaborator.
Before I was animating brands, I spent 16 years making music as a DJ, producer and remixer. Rhythm got into my bones early, and it never left. These days it shows up in the way I approach motion: the pacing, the timing, the way a piece breathes and lands.
Good motion design isn't just visually considered, it feels right.
I partner with creative directors, design directors and agencies to bring brand thinking to life through animation and motion. My work spans brand launches, hype reels, typographic animation and digital content across online, streaming and broadcast. I have a strong affinity for type-led, considered design, which means the work sits firmly in the brand space rather than feeling like generic motion content.
I work best as a genuine collaborator. Not just someone you hand a brief to, but someone who gets inside the creative and helps push it forward.
